Just to let you all know that Book 3 of the Adventures of Percy and Grumbo is now in preparation. - Don't hold your breath though - she's a slow writer!
Anyway, we need your help with a name for the new Father Christmas to join Grumbo, Tingle and Rhodri, so if you've any ideas, please put a comment below. We've asked for help on Facebook too.
It has been terribly busy here as you can imagine. I think Grumbo and Tingle have been getting a little over excited. They developed a new plan to speed up deliveries that involved starting off as high as possible so that gravity would propel them the first part of the way, but as they couldn't work out how to build a tower on the top of Christmas Mountain, they decided to use a hot air balloon instead. They got up there, and then realised they'd left all the dummy parcels they were intending to use for the practice run behind, so they persuaded Rudolph to ferry them up to them. Unfortunately, on the third load, the whole thing tipped up and they fell out. Fortunately there were no broken legs this time owing to Rudolph swooping down and pushing a handy cloud underneath them, but as the whole business took them most of the night, I doubt if it would have saved any time anyway. I had the feeling Rudolph might have just engineered things a little - he isn't keen on the reindeer losing any part of their normal role.
After some negotiation, the Mother Christmases have been given a formal role in the delivery side of things, which is a real breakthrough. Those who have passed all their chimney climbing exams will share the chimney drops on the same basis as the usual FCs and the ones who have only done part one will act as trainee helpers with a qualified FC. We still haven't settled on a role for them on the shop work side as there hasn't been any time for training so far, but I intend making it happen. They have already proved their worth in answering the letters to Santa.
Don't forget - we need your name suggestions, please!
